Greetings from Torres del Paine National Park….wish you were here!
Photo above taken in Torres del Paine National Park, Chile in November 2003.
The year before we had our first child, my husband and I set off on the famous “W” trek in the Torres del Paine National Park in southern Patagonian Chile. It was one of the most memorable treks I’ve done in my life (except for my recent one to the Annapurnas in Nepal) given the amazing, rugged beauty and the crazy weather. The wind was like nothing I’d ever experienced and you could literally have four seasons in a day. My first visit to Patagonia caused me to fall in love with this remote, spectacular place and dream of the day I can come back.

It truly is a beautiful place. I went there in 2005.
It sounds like we’ve been to a lot of similar places. I wrote a long travel article on my visit to Torres del Paine which I plan on putting on my blog when I have a chance. I wish I had better pictures because mine do not do it justice. I’m sure you have some amazing ones given how great of a photographer you are!
