Patagonia is a place of mystique. So far away from anywhere I’ve ever been. At the edge of the earth. That is how I felt when I arrived in Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina. In the middle of nowhere. Yet it never felt better.

I found these beauties along the Tour de la Vanoise in the French Alps. They appear to be some kind of thistle flower past its prime. I fell in love with their exotic, spindly look.
