Photo taken today at Lake Harriet in Southwest Minneapolis./em> I was at my lovely neighborhood lake today on a warm fall afternoon and remembered Ailsa’s Travel theme: Red. Yes, I have tons of photos with magnificent red in them and was hoping to feature one from China or Guatemala. Yet I found this sailboat with the red mast all by itself reflecting red into the water. Jacksprinter’s Sunday post is silence. Nothing could mean silence more to me than watching the sunset over Roy Lake and capturing the magical, silent moments of the days end. Peaceful. Lovely. Silence of heart, soul and mind. Or capturing the last bit of day’s light over Cranberry Lake in Siren, Wisconsin. I can’t think of a better way to enjoy and experience silence and peace of mind than a beautiful sunset. To view more entries, click here.

But they are so sensational that I had to share here too and before I finish my other post. Enjoy! Pictures like these remind me why I live here! I love my lake!

This is the remarkable view we had of Queenstown and the remarkable Remarkables mountain range, before running and jumping off the edge of the mountain and setting flight attached to a hang-glider. Queenstown is one of the most spectacular places on earth and there are loads of adrenaline-pumping activities for what ever your heart desires. To […]
Greetings from Iceland..wish you were here! Photo above taken in the town of Vik, Iceland. Perhaps one of the reasons why I love Iceland so much is its fabulous, serene nature and its relative lack of people. After being in China, Iceland seems like heaven. There is nothing but empty space and you can drive forever through peaceful villages like this one in the picture above. It doesn’t take long to get out of the city and into the countryside. […]
