Patagonia is a place of mystique. So far away from anywhere I’ve ever been. At the edge of the earth. That is how I felt when I arrived in Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina. In the middle of nowhere. Yet it never felt better.

This photo was taken in November 2009 during a hike in Los Glaciares National Park, Argentina. There is something spectacular about walking through a fragrant Patagonian forest and spying a brilliant glacier through the darkness of the woods. The town of El Chalten in southern Argentina is known as the launching off point to a handful of magnificent treks in Los Glaciares National Park. Photos of the world famous Perito Moreno Glacier in southern Argentina. I was going through older photos and came upon some taken during a trip to Patagonia in November 2009. I reworked them slightly and am in awe of the dramatic beauty of such a place. I can feel the harsh, ice-cold wind now as I remember this magical place.
