Photo taken a few days ago at Lake Harriet near my home in Southwest Minneapolis. I find it fitting to feature this photo today. As summer winds down with a blast of heat today (high of 95 F!) and school has once began again, this sunset reminds me that fall is on its way. I’ll miss my summer sunsets over the lake but look forward to the magical fall colors that September and October will surely bring. Advertisements
Today was the last day of school marking the onset of summer in my book. I took these photos on my walk around the lake. Feeling bittersweet. Another year just went quickly by.

Ok….I’m stealing my thunder a bit from tomorrow’s post on thirdeyemom which will feature these two photos along with a couple more that I took today during my run around Lake Harriet. But they are so sensational that I had to share here too and before I finish my other post. Enjoy! Pictures like these remind me why I live here! I love my lake!
We’ve had an explosion of new blooms over at the Trial Gardens near my home. Here are two of my very favorites. They remind me to get outside, enjoy nature and embrace each and every day.
