Greetings from Jökulsárlón…wish you were here! Photo taken in August 2008 during a week-long trip to Iceland. Nothing can prepare the unexpected visitor to their first sight of the awe-inspiring Jökulsárlón.  My heart raced in excitement and anticipation as I climbed up the dirty brown hill that was hiding the view of the lake and glacier below.  I had never seen pictures of Jökulsárlón.  All I knew was that glacial lagoon of Jökulsárlón was supposed to be a photographer’s paradise.    […]
