Contemplating Life in Plaza des Armas

Woman in Plaza des Armas Havana

I saw her sitting on a nearby bench in Havana’s Plaza des Armas, reflecting and contemplating. I wonder what was on her mind?

  1. Your old lady reminds me of an old gentleman we ran into in Rhodes, Greece. He came over to talk to us. Unable to speak English he managed to ask us where we were from. I told him Canada. His reply was” makria” which means far in Greek. I’d love to paint them, they have so much character in their faces.

She is deep in thoughts and the flowers in her hair say so much about her love for life…these simple things make life so beautiful and worth living..
