This week’s photo challenge is Home. Perhaps the most interesting home I’ve ever seen during my travels was that of a 95-year-old monk in the Himalayas of Nepal. Here at over 14,000 feet lives the “cave monk” of Manang. He has lived here and given blessings to those who seek them for many years.
Here is his home built into the rocks…
View inside his home….
View looking outside from his home down to the village of Manang….

If a man’s home is his castle… this man has an inspiring abode.
Yes indeed! 🙂
Wow!
Unbelievable isn’t it!

Wow! What a view!
Yes, it sure is! 🙂
Amazing…
Yes, pretty cool! 🙂
Stunning. I wonder how he keeps warm–and does he have somebody to look in on him? Seems like quite a climb.
His 65 year old daughter lives with him. I’m not sure if he comes down when it gets really cold but it was cold when we were there and even the tea houses where we stayed had no heat so we were really cold at night.
Gosh what a view to wake up to every morning!
Indeed! 🙂
what a place to live Nicole…wow
🙂
