Photo taken in Punta Gorda, a Garifuna community located on the island of Roatan, Honduras. The Garifunas were brought to Roatan from the St.Vincent and Africa as slaves of the British colonists. Today the Garifunas have a rich culture and heritage and make the island a magical place.

I love those words Debra. I hope so. The children have it so much better on the island (Roatan) thanks to tourism, than the mainland where the poverty and conditions were painful. A real eye-opening trip.
