The town of El Chalten in southern Argentina is known as the launching off point to a handful of magnificent treks in Los Glaciares National Park. The only way to get there is by bus or car on a road that leads to this outpost in the middle of nowhere. It feels like a dream when you arrive. Eerily quiet save a few late night partygoers, old fashioned street lamps lining the dusty gravel road. But once you are there, you are in paradise. Nature and beauty awaits in a land still someone preserved and untouched by man.
Looks really peaceful and so beautiful.
Patagonia is one of my favorite places on earth! I truly hope to return again to do more exploring. Many untouched places are there as well. 🙂
Cool! I was almost going to move to Argentina (more specifically, the city of Córdoba) to finish my college degree. I decided on Spain instead. Still, it’s nice to know what I’m missing 🙂
Spain is equally wonderful! But I do love Argentina! It is a really wonderful place!
