Purple Pasque Flowers

I first saw them when I was running last spring. The mysteriously beautiful Pasque flowers that bloom around Easter each spring in Minnesota. Luckily I had my camera in hand and snapped the first picture shown of the gorgeous purple fuzzy flower coming to life after a long, cold Minnesota winter. I later found out the name of the flower thanks to a fellow blogger and discovered more of them at the Trial Gardens near Lake Harriet in Southwest Minneapolis. I fell in love with these sensationally beautiful flowers and planted some in my garden for me to enjoy this spring.

  10. Oh, these are beautiful! I don’t usually like plants that are furry (with the exception of lambs ears) but these are just the right amount of furriness on the stems and a surprising connection to purple splashes of petal. 🙂
