I first saw them when I was running last spring. The mysteriously beautiful Pasque flowers that bloom around Easter each spring in Minnesota. Luckily I had my camera in hand and snapped the first picture shown of the gorgeous purple fuzzy flower coming to life after a long, cold Minnesota winter. I later found out the name of the flower thanks to a fellow blogger and discovered more of them at the Trial Gardens near Lake Harriet in Southwest Minneapolis. I fell in love with these sensationally beautiful flowers and planted some in my garden for me to enjoy this spring.

beautiful flowers!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
Beautiful, especially that first photo.
Oh, these are beautiful! I don’t usually like plants that are furry (with the exception of lambs ears) but these are just the right amount of furriness on the stems and a surprising connection to purple splashes of petal. 🙂
Thanks! I planted some as well as lambs ear this spring after I found this furry purple flower. They are nce and soft.
Very cool. 🙂 I’d like to have both in my garden some day.
