The eyes of a lion

20120703-171405.jpg

Photo taken along the tiny tarmac inside Tanda Tula Private Reserve, South Africa.

Patiently, lazily he sat and watched. He wasn’t bothered nor amused. Just relaxing as we sat only a jump away inside an open-air land rover. Following him at night was the highlight of the safari. His golden mane glistened in the moonlight. Unfortunately none of my photos of him under the midnight moon turned out. The image only remains inside my memory.
