We just returned from a lovely weekend in Northern Minnesota at our friend’s cabin on tranquil Rabbit Lake. We went kayaking, paddle boating, and roasted marshmallows over a hot summer fire. Not much could be better. I fell in love with the water lilies that dotted the shores of the lake. There were yellow and white and they only opened to the afternoon sun. Here is one that I saw from a distance while kayaking and had to check it out to make sure it was real. It was enormous and beautiful. Hope you enjoy!

Yes. More, they love all the slimy gluggy mud at the bottom, and thrust up through that toward the sun … 🙂
