In 2001, a mere two months after that fateful day, my father and I went to Peru to trek the Inca Trail. It was my first real trek and I’ve been addicted to trekking the high mountains ever since. Here are some of my favorite photos from that amazing journey. One I hope to do someday again with my children.
More wow shots with your third eye!
And to think that I didn’t fully have that “third eye” then. This was just the beginning of it all!
You enjoyed it, didn’t you? They’re lovely shots Nicole.
I loved it! That was one of my favorite trips…but then again I seem to have a lot of favorites!
How can we ever single out one experience over another – always changing, always a part of who we are now …
Stunning pics Nicole! Especially love the last one! Looks very mysterious.
Thanks Lucy! Glad you enjoyed!
I did the Inca Trail too but shot film so all my photos are stored in the UK. One day I want to sort through them all and maybe scan them! Digital is so much easier!!!
I bet your photos are a heck of a lot better than mine! I would LOVE to see them! Mine were scanned but they are rather grainy. Oh well!
Incredible! Thank you for letting me journey vicariously.
Glad you enjoyed! 🙂
These are some very great shots. Looks like an amazing place to travel to.
Thank you! The photos are old so I had to scan them and play around with them. But I like the fuzzy look. It was an amazing place, especially to have to hike the long trail to get there! 🙂
You’re welcome.
Even though these are older photos, I love the grainy look that you have with them. It gives such a mystical look to Machu Picchu. Having just recently returned, I truly hope that you get a chance to return.
Thanks! This was one of my very first treks with my dad. We’ve been going every year since then. I would love to go back someday with my kids when they get older. Have you featured any of your shots on your blog yet? Please let me know as I’d love to look at them! 🙂
