Greetings from Minnesota….wish you were here!
Photo taken yesterday in the Trial Gardens near Lake Harriet.
I love ferns especially when they are starting to grow and unravel. They will always remind me of New Zealand, one of my favorite travel destinations. However, we do have them here in Minnesota as well. Perhaps not as beautiful but still pretty cool.
Great photograph. I’ve loved photos like this especially since I read an article on the cooking and eating of Fiddlehead Ferns… The geometric curve of an unfurling fern is so beautiful.
Thanks! I have to try to eat fern sometime. I believe I had it in NZ but that was so long ago now. They are indeed quite lovely. Looking again at this photo I love how the light is hitting the baby fern!
I love ferns too Nicole and know what you mean about reminding you of NZ. The south Island is full of them! There’s something about the lush greenness of them.
Yes they are so pretty, aren’t they. Yesterday was so beautiful and today it is raining cats and dogs. Oh well…you know what they say, April showers bring May flowers.
Haha I like that saying but hadn’t heard it before!
Really? Must be an American thing! It is great huh?!
