Greetings from Antigua….wish you were here!
Photo of the most commanding volcano of the three that surround Antigua, Volcán de Agua or “Volcano of Water”, some 3766 meters (12,356 ft) high.
Finally on the morning of my last day in Antigua, the clouds lifted enough so I finally got to see the top of all three volcanoes. I was mesmerized by how much the full view of these triangular peaks changed the landscape of Antigua. They were simply stunning!
They’re always elusive when you just want to look at them, aren’t they? Such a perfect cone, such deep blue sky – you were lucky. Great shot.
Thanks! I have more great ones coming! I actually saw one erupt as I was pulling out of town! It is an awesome shot. Actually it may already be on thirdeyeworld….? I think it is!
Hevens! Exploding! Wow …
