Greetings from Antigua…wish you were here!
Photo above of the ruins of Santa Clara Church, inaugurated in 1734 and destroyed four decades later by a powerful earthquake.
I fell in love with Antigua, clearly one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I adored the cobblestone streets, brightly colored buildings, volcanoes and immaculate churches colored in whites and yellows. But most of all, I loved the ruins which remained intact behind the grand reconstructed churches. They offer a glimpse into Antigua’s dramatic past and the powerful force of mother nature.
Excellent Architectural click here ! n well rendered light too !
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
It’s a wonderful shot, with the remnants of the arches like stone embroidery against the skyy … such a romantic ruin.
Thank you! I got so lucky as the clouds broke up leaving the sky powder blue with white fluffy clouds that made my ruins photos really cool! More to come!
ah, that’ll be a treat.
Thanks! 🙂
