Photo taken while headed south from Christchurch to Queenstown New Zealand.
If this picture does not take you directly into the set of the Lord of the Rings trilogy (save for the fact that I am not a famous actress!) then I don’t know what else will! The South Island of New Zealand rocks!
Unfortunately it is much better in print. It is almost ten years old, a panoramic photo that has been scanned. But perhaps if you close your eyes and imagine the surreal beauty of this place, you will see what I mean. Like no place on earth.

You’re opening line reminded me of a line by comedian Stephen Wright: “Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, “Wish you were here.”
