The desert hike at Ventana Canyon

Greetings from Tucson….wish you were here!

Photo above taken yesterday during a hike along the Ventana Canyon trailhead in Tucson, Arizona.

There is nothing like a hike in the Arizona desert.  It is so spectacular and serene that your spirits fly high and your heart soars.   The dry, pure air infiltrates your lungs and the fragrant smell of the desert is delightful.  My favorite time of year to hike is in the spring when the snow on the peaks above melts and creates a lush, verdant valley of streams, waterfalls and cactus flowers.
