Making the skating rink

Greetings from rainy, wet Minnesota…lucky you’re NOT here!

Photo taken 12/16 of the Lynnhurst ice rink in the making.

Last year at this time we had over 32 inches of snow!  That is almost as high as my five-year old daughter! It was wonderful!  A true winter wonderland had arrived just in time for Christmas.

This year has been unseasonably warm and very bizarre.  We have only had two small snowfalls and the fall temperatures have been well above average.  Hurrah, most people would say but I’m missing winter!  I detest this cold, rainy, dreary weather.  I’d take 10-20 degrees F and snow any day over this wet, London-like weather.

Even our poor lakes haven’t frozen nor are they having luck making the many seasonal skating rinks at the local parks.  Oh….let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.  (And freeze, please!).
