Greetings from Nepal…wish you were here!
Photo taken in a rural, poor village along the Annapurna Trek in Nepal. November 2010.
Thanksgiving is a day to be together with the ones you love and a day to give thanks to all we have in this unfair world. As we are filling up our plates with unimaginable amounts of food, it is time to stop for a moment and remember all those millions of families around the world who have absolutely nothing. Nothing to eat. No turkeys, no stuffing, no mashed potatoes and gravy. No pumpkin pie. Only rice and vegetables or what ever meager thing they can find to eat.
Remember them today and think of a way you can give back! Volunteer at a soup kitchen, deliver meals on wheels, donate canned goods to your church, or simply help out someone in need.
It is up to us, those who have plenty, to change the world!
