Blooming Jacarandas and Parisian cafes

Greetings from Buenos Aires…wish you were here!

Photo above taken in the Recoleta district of lovely Buenos Aires in the spring of November 2007.

Buenos Aires.  The capital of Argentina and known as the Paris of South America, land of tango and leather, wines, fashionistas, and delightful food.  My first visit to Buenos Aires was in November 2007 during a nine-day trip to Argentina.  Buenos Aires did not disappoint.  I adored her lovely, Parisian architecture and influence.  The sidewalk cafes and outdoor restaurants lined the streets and each neighborhood has its own unique charm and character.  Visiting in the spring time is especially nice as the purple Jacaranda trees are bursting with life and energy just like this amazing city.

Ahh, I read what you wrote, I expanded your photo full screen, and, ahh, I was (AM!) in Buenos Aires!!
Thank you, I needed the “visit”.

    • I need a visit there too now. Back in full swing with a busy fall schedule. This blog may not get as many postcards as before but hopefully I can keep them up! I’ve got a few more new travels up my sleeve and will be thinking of future postcards. Thanks for reading!
