Staring upwards in Barcelona

Greetings from Barcelona…wish you were here!

Photo taken  of Gaudi’s famous The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain in the summer of 1994. For more detailed information on this amazing work of art, click here:

While spending a summer doing an internship in Marseille, France, a friend of mine and I traveled south on the train stopping to visit a few cities along the coast until reaching sexy, cosmopolitan Barcelona.

I was star struck by the art, the cathedrals, the beaches and the nightlife where they party til dawn.  But what most inspired and amazed me beyond belief was the incredible Sagrada Cathedral designed by Gaudi.  It was such an elaborate, intricate work of art that it took my breathe away.

GAUDI, where modern architecture was suppose to go… & “…party till dawn…”, ahh, my youth on Sicilian beaches, now it’s more like talk at the cafe till 3:00 AM.
