Greetings from Paris…wish you were here!
thirdeyemom herself seated outside of the Notre Dame as a young, twenty-one-year-old etudiante in Paris, winter of 1993.
One of the best experiences of my life was spending my Spring semester of my junior year in college abroad in Paris. I knew from the first time I saw Paris, at the young, impressionable, ripe age of 13, that I would live there someday. I began French classes and continued on throughout college with my eye on the prize: A six-month stint in lovely Paris, the city of lights, city of dreams.
The six months that I spent there were unbelievable. I perfected my French, indulged in cafe life, enjoyed too much fabulous food, spent hours walking the ever-changing streets and toured all the sights. When the semester ended in June, I was heartbroken to leave and promised myself that someday I’d go back.
This picture is an oldie but goodie as it brings back so many memories of my youth in the 90s….the huge grin on my face, the look of freedom and adventure, and best of all, the permed hair!
