Greetings from New Zealand…wish you were here!
Photo above taken in 2002 trip to New Zealand while hiking the Routeburn Trail.
I could talk about New Zealand forever, it is that unbelievable of a place. My husband and I spent two weeks traveling around the lonely, gorgeous roads of the North and South Island with a highlight of our trip being our day hike along the famous Routeburn Trail. The lovely New Zealand ferns seemed to be spiraling up into the sky and the views of the rugged landscape reminded me of several scenes out of The Lord of the Rings. My dream is to someday return to New Zealand and do only hiking trips. The choices for amazing,world-renowned treks are endless, and I always find the best way to see a place is on foot.

The Routeburn Trail is gorgeous!!! If you haven’t yet and you get the chance you should hike the Abel Tasman along the coast. Breathtaking views!
I would love to do that hike. I could spend months in New Zealand. I think that you probably have a ton of great travels in your files to write about. It sounds like we have been to a lot of the same places. Do you work full-time as a writer/photographer in guatamala?
