Greatings from Nepal…wish you were here!

The photo above was taken in November 2010 during a two-week trek along the Annapurna Trail in Nepal.

Nepal is one of my most favorite places that I’ve been lucky enough to visit.  I was blown away by the beauty of the mighty Himalayas while equally in awe of the breathtaking culture and kindness of the people.

A two-week trek along the world-famous Annapurna Trail brings you through remote villages loaded with teahouses and breath-taking Buddhist shrines.  I adore this photo of a shrine we saw along the trail.  The prayer flags are magically soaring through the brilliant blue sky and the color warmed my heart and brought solitude to my soul.  The small golden Buddha in top of the shrine sat peacefully, watching over us and providing peace and love.
