Greetings from Santorini…wish you were here!

Photo above taken in July 2000 at the beautiful Greek Island of Santorini which was uniquely formed by an enormous volcanic eruption that blew a hole through part of the island creating this incredibly spectacular place.

Santorini. The place of dreams. One of the most insanely beautiful places I’ve ever been in my life. It is hard to believe that it was eleven years ago today that I took this picture during a three-week honeymoon in Greece. It amazes me how fast time seems to go.

Santorini is a special place. It’s spectacular beauty entrances your soul and enraptures your heart. I could spend hours sitting outside watching the lighting of the sun change and the sparkling blue waters glisten like ripples of diamonds.

It was in Santorini that my future was made. I was newly married and dreamed about the life that lay ahead of me. Traveling, career, family, and someday writing.

The sunsets of Santorini are arguably some of the best sunsets in the world. I hope someday to go back and experience the beauty of this magical place again.
