Weekly Photo Challenge: One Shot, Two Ways

This week’s photo challenge is to take a photo of the same subject shot both as a vertical and horizontal photo. While looking through my photo collection, I discovered that over 90% of my photos are taken horizontally and I seem to prefer these photos.

Here is a shot of a ruin in Antigua, Guatemala captured both ways. Which one do you prefer and why?

  7. I prefer the horizontal photo because the lines drew my eye through the photo. In the vertical one, I got stuck looking at the sky because of the round arch.
    Great shots for this challenge.
